Wedding Stationery for Clio & Aaron
When it comes to graphic design, we can – and invariably do – do everything. So when Clio and Aaron asked us to design and print their wedding stationery, we were thrilled to help out.
Although branding is often a term used to describe how a company presents itself, the general principles of branding are applicable when it comes to designing most things, even something as personal as a wedding invitation.
Clio and Aaron were keen to keep things classic so we used simple, bold typography in black for the text, creating a feature of the ampersand joining their two names to create the fundamental styling of the Clio and Aaron ‘brand’. The large cursive font of the ampersand not only contrasts in size and typography but it is also slightly embossed with a subtle silver finish.
The layout of the invite uses fine seperators to partition the various details of their day to create an easy-to-read invite for their guests. More details are also provided on the reverse of the design. Decorative header and footer separators match the cursive style of the ampersand to complete the look of the invitation. A black border frames the invite which was printed on premium stock card for a luxurious finish.
On top of these invites, we also created other items of wedding stationery for Clio and Aaron, using their established ‘brand’ styling. This included letter-headed paper for printing dinner menus on to, information cards with all of the details for the day and foil blocked belly bands to hold it all together.
