UMAME is a brand new Pan Asian Kitchen & Bar in Hampton Wick which opened in October 2017.
Ahead of its opening, the owners – who have a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry – asked us to help build their brand and spread the word about this exciting London-style restaurant ahead of the launch. The deadline was tight but we were really excited about the prospect and possibilities of this project and so we got to work.
First off, we created concentrated on developing a brand. We created a logo that was modern but also represented the Asian/Oriental roots of the restaurant’s cuisine. Against a charcoal background, we used a vibrant colour scheme of turquoise and orange to make the graphic and text elements of the logo stand-out.
Once the branding was finalised, it was used in the creation of restaurant signage, launch invitations, menus, branded stationery and on the website, which we also designed and built.
We visited the restaurant on numerous occasions to take photographs of the incredible dishes, drinks and restaurant setting, as well as the Chefs and Front of House staff for use on the website, print marketing and on social media.
As well as developing the visual element of the Umame brand, we also created all written content for the promotional materials such as posters, invites and the website, helping establish Umame’s persona further through the creation of engaging copy.
Prior to the launch, we set-up various business listing and social media accounts, running several marketing campaigns to build momentum for the opening of this exciting new restaurant. These accounts provided new channels for people to find out about Umame, as well as giving any new visitors to the restaurant a chance to share their reviews and photos online.
Following the success of the launch, we are now working with Umame in the continued promotion of their restaurant.
