SCL stands for the Society of Chief Librarians, an organisation which is responsible for managing public libraries in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
We worked with SCL to develop the branding on their digital initiative Code Green, aimed at offering children and young people the opportunity to learn more about technology through creation.
We devised a vivid green logo with the light-bulb iconography and digital font to fit the theme of this sub-brand, and added the strapline: Make Digital, Learn Digital.
From this branding, we developed a microsite, filled with lots of information and resources provided by SCL, readily available for both members and the general public to use at the click of a mouse. To promote this website at the Code Green launch event, we created banners and posters in the style of the branding to encourage people to visit the website to find out more.
Another aspect of this project was the creation of a branded brochure for the SCL’s MOOCs programme (or Massive Open Online Courses). The brochure was to be available in print and online as a PDF to inform library services about these free online courses developed by Universities and other academic institutions.
Following the Code Green Initiative, we have created a variety of print and online marketing materials to support all five of the SCL’s Universal Offers including (but not limited to) booklets, posters, digital presentations, leaflets, brochures, banners, exhibition display stands and branded lanyards.
